重視網頁翻譯工作　搞好公司對外宣傳

[摘要] 越來越多的公司在互聯網上建立自己的網站，使用兩種甚至多種文本制作網頁，力求更好地宣傳自己的產品、挖掘潛在的市場、樹立企業的形象。從理論上講，這是個十分經濟有效的辦法，但在實踐中未必盡如人意。通過實際調查分析發現，我國公司網頁多半采用中英文兩個文本制作，其中英譯文本質量問題是影響產品促銷和企業形象的主要因素。因此，建議重視網頁翻譯工作，尤其要避免誤譯現象，搞好公司的對外宣傳。

　　一、公司網頁英語文本的重要性
　　
　　互聯網的普及和IT技術的應用為世界各地的企業和商家帶來了前所未有的發展機遇，許多公司由于高度重視這些現代科技的運用而得到了飛速發展和擴張，產品銷量大增，公司業績翻番。這些公司中比較成功的做法是，在Internet上建立自己的網站，制作雙語或多語種網頁文本來介紹自己的產品，宣傳自己的公司。調查發現，我國大多數公司的網頁采用中文和英語兩種文本，但英語翻譯的質量相差很大甚至存在不少問題。
　　
　　二、網頁文本誤譯的調查分析
　　
　　德國著名翻譯教授Wolfram Wills認為，應用翻譯更應當講究從心理語言學的層面把兩種語言的詞匯、句法、功能有機地結合起來加以比較；翻譯絕非容易之事，不是稍懂一點外語的人都能勝任的（Wolfram,2001）。現隨機下載有關行業某些公司的網站材料作為實例加以評析，僅從純學術探索的視覺加以探討不構成對相關單位的任何貶責詆毀之意。

　　原文：公司以木制品為主導產品,主要產品為木制國際象棋系列、迷你家具系列、木制禮品系列、日用品系列、兒童玩具系列、兒童中型家具系列等。
　　原譯：Our company main product wooden gifts items which treated with commodity items、Chess items、youngster toyes items、youngster middle furniture items.
　　評析：具有平行關系的產品系列之間竟然使用中式標點符號，錯誤十分顯眼；其他并發癥是，若將原譯中Our company視為主語，則句子還是因為沒有謂語而顯得成分殘缺，可以考慮改為Our company mainly produces…或者The main products of our company are…；嚴格地說，which treated with 既不是限制性定語從句，也不是過去分詞作后置定語，treated with 在原文中也沒有任何對應之處；用詞方面，main product該用復數形式而沒有用，toy的復數形式卻錯誤地寫成 toyes；youngster的意思是“年青人,少年”，在此不合要求；產品名稱翻譯不規范，“系列產品”后面一連串的“系列”產品，在翻譯時應該遵循簡略的原則，不必一一重復譯出。
　　改譯：The main products of our company are series of wooden articles, including chess series, mini-furniture, wooden gifts, daily necessities, children’s toys and mid-sized furniture for children as well.

　　原文：我公司是專業生產中小型滾動深溝球軸承、單向軸承、高溫軸承、角接觸軸承、汽車軸承及精密軸套類零件的企業，…
　　原譯：We are specialized in producing small o-typed rolling deep groove ball bearings, unilaterlialism bearings,high temperature,auto bearings and bearing parts
　　評析：原譯中We are specialized in屬于畫蛇添足，表示“專業從事”只需直接將specialize置于主語后即可；再者，原譯內容缺損嚴重，“中小型”被直接譯成small；在producing支配的系列賓語中居然有high temperature，變成“專業生產”“高溫”了；“單向軸承”中的“單向”竟然生造一個unilaterlialism來表達，難道是受 unilateral（單方面做出的; 僅影響一方的; 單方面的; 單邊的）影響？但unilateralism的意思是“片面限制武器論。”
　　改譯：Our enterprise specializes in manufacturing small and mid-sized deep groove ball bearings, one- direction thrust ball bearings, high-temperature bearings, angular-contact bearings, auto bearings and precision sleeve parts.

　　Yema?economy and trade?CO.LTD was found in 2003.the former is Yema indutry CO.LTD which found in 1994.form then on,like a running wild horse,Yema doing a quickly developing .At1994 ,it become a barter trade enterprise ,then doing boundary small ,scale trade in 1996
　　評析：原譯公司名稱中的economy and trade?以及indutry都沒有大寫；was found以及后面的which found意思和語法全錯；the former和the latter相對應，“前身”不等于“前者”；on,like 和horse,Yema中間的逗號均用錯；a quickly developing .中的點號前面不應該空格，后面應該空格卻沒有空格；it become屬于嚴重語法錯誤，要么考慮用過去時，要么一般現在時；總之，標點混亂，沒有把握主語導致句子結構斷裂，術語翻譯也不到位。
　　改譯：Yema Trading Company Ltd., previously Atai Yema Industry Co. Ltd. established in the year 1994, is a leading import and export company in our autonomous region, specializing in import and export trade, tourist purchase, warehousing, international combined transport and undertaking contracted projects at home and abroad.

　　原譯：In order to improve the quality of the products, from 1998, we start to carry out the ISO9001——2000 quality control systems and get good effects. For the effort of us, now the products have been accept world widely.
　　評析：原譯最大的問題在于時態不明，既然是from 1998，那么，在start一處既沒有使用過去時，也沒有使用完成時；在have been accept中，accept保持原形，說明譯者對完成時的被動語態根本沒有把握。實際上，漢語中的句子要譯成英語時，如果能以短語為之，效果可能更好；world widely的錯誤在于想當然地把world wide變性使用了，應該考慮到要么選用widely，要么選用worldwide，但前者為副詞用作狀語，后者為形容詞用作定語。因此，用all over the world也行。
　　改譯：Since the introduction of the ISO9001-2000 quality control systems into the strict management of the manufacturing process in the year1998, satisfactory results have been achieved. The quality of our products is always being kept stable and thus our commodities are widely accepted by the clients all over the world.

　　原譯：The company has taken up with improving the quality shaping high quality.high administrative levels.Enterprise image.Since if is foundes in 1991 and adopt the fashional design advanced material advanced technics. And perfect management system.Good after service it is trusted deeply by the domestic and aerseas foreign customers.
　　評析：首先應當看到，中文原文本身就存在層次不清之處，“依賴”當推定為“信賴”。從布局謀篇的視角看，譯文從標點符號到遣詞造句，從句子結構到文體風格，幾近沒有頭緒。“時尚的設計”和“先進材料”等平行結構之間，漢語中用頓號，英語中用逗號，但此處譯文錯用點號；Enterprise image. 竟然獨立成句，事實上，Enterprise也不必大寫；詞法方面，it 寫成了if，aerseas 拼錯，fashional也是想當然地造詞；在adopt the fashional design advanced material advanced technics. And perfect management 等一大串動賓結構中可以考慮采用謂語并行或-ing形式，原譯卻只是簡單拼湊了事；Since if is foundes 以及Good after service it is trusted deeply by等譯法簡直毫無章法可言。
　　改譯：Since the establishment of our company in the year 1991 we have been committing ourselves to improving the quality of our products for the purpose of building up an enterprise image of high grade and high level. The adoption of fashionable designs, sophisticated materials, super craftsmanship and perfect management system, together with our perfect after-sale service, has enabled us to win the confidence of our customers all over the world.
　　
　　三、應當高度重視網頁文本的翻譯工作
　　
　　通過上面的分析可以很清楚地看到，翻譯工作在對外宣傳和交際方面的作用是何其重要，英語文本要力求達到美國翻譯專家Nida所倡導的“最恰當的對等”(Nida, 1964:130)。
　　否則，網頁的誤譯有可能造成非常嚴重的后果。 因此，呼吁認真對待網頁翻譯工作，對每一個單詞都不要掉以輕心。
