Open Journal of Thoracic Surgery is a peer reviewed international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in Thoracic Surgery. The goal of this journal is to keep a record of the state-of-the-art research and to promote study, research and improvement within its various specialties.

All manuscripts submitted to OJTS must be previously unpublished and may not be considered for publication elsewhere at any time during OJTS's review period. Generally, accepted papers will appear online within 3 weeks followed by printed hard copy. Topics to be covered by this journal include, but are not limited to:

· Atrial Septal Defect Repair

· Cardiovascular Epidemiology, Aeteopathogenesis, Clinical Manifestation

· Cardiovascular Surgery

· Congenital Heart Surgery

· Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery

· Creation of Shunt to the Pulmonary Artery

· Esophagogastrectomy

· Heart Transplant

· Laparoscopic Heller Myotomy

· Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication

· Lung Transplant

· Maze Procedure

· Minimal Access Cardiac Surgery

· Norwood Operation

· Palliative Treatment

· Pulmonary Metastasectomy

· Removal of Portion(s) of the Lung Containing Cancer

· Repair of Coartcation of the Aorta

· Repair of Thoracic Aneurysms

· Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy

· Thoracoscopy or VATS

· Valve Repair or Replacement

· Ventricular Remodeling

We are also interested in short papers (letters) that clearly address a specific problem, and short survey or position papers that sketch the results or problems on a specific topic. Authors of selected short papers would be invited to write a regular paper on the same topic for future issues of the OJTS.
